Description

Anti-clockwise rotating Magneto for an Offenhauser 4-cylinder engine, Indy car, 1950’s, Bendix-Scintilla magneto. Freshly overhauled and tested by Sierra Magneto Service. Includes solid core 7mm Packard neoprene stainless wire kit (extra long for customer to trim to length), pre-soldered on mag ends with correct brass terminals and factory insulators along with the 4 long style HT terminals. Includes new 90 degree black boots and spark plug terminals. New capacitor. Recharged magnet. Preloaded and greased bearings with factory aircraft mag grease.
PLATINUM Contacts resurfaced. Re-lubricated with factory aircraft contact wick oil (I kid you not)
Timing set with 1940’s Bendix factory degree wheel to 8 degrees +3/-1.
New timing window and ring. Distributor reconditioned with factory lube and sealant.
Gears cleaned and inspected. Brush is factory part soldered to spring.
Magneto “Coming in speed” is 60 RPM at 7mm gap.
Unbranded to permit choice of logo or none for a cleaner appearance. Safety wire installed except on HT cover for your convenience in terms of inspection. Screws are cross-drilled in the event safety wire is required.
