Designed to replace the stock grip and trigger housing of the Crosman 2240 (or any Crosman model that uses the same main gas tube and trigger group) to give you access to numerous aftermarket grip options. This lightweight housing and adapter mounts to the main gas tube via two 8-32 screws (included). The sear spring has been relocated to accommodate higher positioning of the grip, improving the ergonomics. A new spring (included) was selected to optimize trigger feel/pull (although this is subjective). The trigger and sear pin holes are finished with a 0.125" reamer and two steel pins are provided for a precision fit (better tolerances than stock). The grip screw thread is cut with a precision die (NOTE: 1/4-20 is specified, not 1/4-28, due to the coarser thread of the 20 tpi, which provides a stronger hold in polymer). Manufactured in the USA via fused deposition to ensure quality and affordability. This fused-polymer part was optimized to be as slim and lightweight as possible, while maintaining enough strength for recreational use. It is not meant for heavy impact or hard use, and will not tolerate abuse like a cast, molded, or machined part of the same dimensions. Fused deposition produces a fine layered surface texture, which in this case acts as stippling, increasing control. While steps are taken to produce the best surface possible, each part is different, and small aesthetic imperfections may be present, including rough spots, tiny gaps/air pockets, small chips or bumps, and discontinuous sheen (matte, satin, and gloss). The polymer material used (PLA) can be sanded, polished, or even painted, if a different appearance is desired. For reference, no sanding or polishing has been done to the housings/adapters pictured. More importantly, all housings/adapters are inspected before shipment and guaranteed to be fully functional.
A summary of the parts included with the housing/adapter is given in the second image. Step-by-step instructions on installation (requiring 15-30 minutes) will be provided as well (sent via an eBay message after purchase). Please make sure you have the right tools to disassemble/remove the stock parts prior to installation. For installation you will need a 3/32" hex wrench (L-wrench), and maybe a small hammer and 1/8" punch (pins fit snug, not super-tight, so a hammer may not be needed). For grip installation you will need a long 3/16" hex wrench (standard-length wrenches are often too short).
